Dorben Polytechnic: How To Register Courses, Check Result And Pay Tuition Fees Online
Dorben polytechnic is a privately owned and managed tertiary institution in Nigeria accredited by the federal ministry of education and the National board of Technical Education in Nigeria. The polytechnic is located along Kuduru- Garam road in Garam, Abuja Federal Capital Territory. It has two campuses, the main campus is located at Garam, Abuja and the other campus at Suleja.
Brief History
Dorben polytechnic was formerly known as the Abuja School of Accountancy and Computer studies. It was incorporated in 1995 and was approved and accredited as a school by the National Board for Technical Education and the Federal Ministry of Education in 1999. In September 2008, the National Association of Nigerian students bestowed an award of Excellence on the chairman of the management board of the polytechnic in person of Dr. A.B. Ekwere. Dorben polytechnic provides training leading to the award of National and Higher National Diplomas in several courses and programmes. It has four faculties namely:
– The school of Business studies.
– The school of Natural and applied sciences
– The school of Engineering and Enviromental sciences
– The school of Preliminary General studies
Admission Requirements
Prospective applicants must score at least 150 in the Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by JAMB. Applicants must have at least 5 credit passes in relevant SSCE exam (WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB). Applicants for the Higher National Diploma must possess all the listed O’ level requirements alongside SIWES completion letter and National Diploma result.
Programmes WASCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE
-Public administration/Accountancy/Business Studies. Credit passes in maths,English and any other 3 subjects from Economics, Government, Commerce,Business studies.
-Computer science/ Computer Engineering/Electrical Electronics engineering. Credit passes in maths, physics and any other 3 subjects from Economics, Biology,Chemistry,English,Agric or Further maths
– Estate management/Urban and Regional Planning. Credit passes in maths, English and any other three from Economics,Biology,Commerce,Geography, Chemistry and technical drawing.
– Mass communication. Credit passes in Literature and any other 3 from Economics, Biology, Government and Commerce
– Office technology and management. Credit passes in maths and any other 3 from Economics,Biology, Government, Commerce and Business studies.

Please note that all new students will pay the acceptance fees which is nonrefundable upon admission into the polytechnic.
The school fees varies according to department and faculty but for full time students it is #76,000 and #120,000 for part time students. This amount will be paid into the designated banks approved by the school management.

-Select Register online then login
-Log in by inputting your matric no and password, if you are a new student input your matric no, pin and serial no then click register
– Select your courses and save then print out the course form
– Click logout to log out of the website
Online Result Checking
– Visit the official website at http://portal.dorbenpoly.edu.ng
– Select Result Checking
– Login by entering your matric no and password
– Check results and print if you choose to print it out
– Log out.
