Middlesex University: How to Enroll and Study in Middlesex University London from Nigeria

Middlesex University is one of the public university based in Hendon, north west London, England. The university is located within the historic county boundaries of Middlesex from which it takes its name. It is one of the post-1992 universities and is a member of the Million plus working group. Same scenario played out with many former polytechnics, Middlesex can trace its history back to the 19th century, yet was not formally organised as a teaching institution until the early 1970’s.

There are two ways of enrolling into Middlesex University, London and we would be bringing to you full details on how to apply using any of these two methods:

  1. Applying Directly through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service)
  2. Applying through MiddleSex Nigeria regional office.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements To Middlesex University

Entry to year one

For entry to most undergraduate courses, you must have completed the WAEC plus a recognized university foundation year. You will need to provide originals of your WAEC and foundation results.

If you have only WAEC you may be considered for their one-year International Foundation Programme, but unfortunately for the meantime, MiddleSex University has closed the International Foundation Programme to Nigerians Applicants indefinitely. Fortunately, there’s a recognized A level foundation programme, Cambride A level in Nigeria that you can use to apply. It is offered in most of the Universities in Nigeria and some other accredited Cambridge A level Schools in Nigeria. How To Apply Directly Through UCAS:

Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) is to United Kingdom what Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is to Nigeria, they are in charge of processing admission for candidates (both UK and foreign Residents) into British Universities.

UCAS has a website where it provides several services such as online application portals, a number of search tools, and free information and advice directed at applicants, applicants with pending applications to higher education institutes, parents and legal guardians of applicants.

To apply for MiddleSex University London through UCAS, first you must also know the University code of MiddleSex which is “M80”. Each of the courses offered by MiddleSex University also has a UCAS code that you must know in order to apply. You can check the list of all Undergraduate courses offered by MiddleSex here: https://www.mdx.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate, to check the UCAS code of the course you wish to apply for by clicking on the course, the UCAS code is usually on a black tab by the right and it is first on the list.

After getting the code(s), you are to visit UCAS Website on www.ucas.com where you’ll first have to create an account by registering, which you’ll do by clicking on the “register button”, which would bring out a dropdown list for you, select “Undergraduate registration”, scroll down and click on “Register and Apply for 2017 entry”, follow the instructions and fill in the necessary details. Congrats you have successfully created a UCAS account. You’ll be required to log in again with the username and password you provided. Login and fill a little more details, including your email so you can track the progress of your application, pick your course choice(s), this is where you’ll need MiddleSex UCAS code and the Course(s) UCAS code.

Please Note:  For 2017 entry, the application fee is £13 for a single choice, or £24 for more than one choice.

After you must have successfully applied, you would need to check the UCAS website from time to time to monitor the progress of your application, you would also be sent email notifications regarding your application.
