Taraba State University Direct Entry Requirements, The Admission List And All You Need To Know

Taraba state university is a state owned university located in the capital city, Jalingo. Founded in 2008 by the Taraba State Government to increase the chances of a varsity education for its indigenes and advance the course of Academic development in the nation. Since its inception, producing skilled and accomplished graduates to the country has been their Aim.

 

It is one of the fastest growing Universities in Northern Nigeria. Their mission is spelt out properly in their motto-HARNESSING NATURE’S GIFT. The institution is regulated by the National universities Commission, Abuja. It boasts of the following faculties-

  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Agriculture
  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Science
  • Faculty of Art and social sciences

 

Due to the high level of Education, Discipline and morals instilled on its students, thousands of candidates from the state and beyond apply for Admission into the school every year. Screenings are conducted to check for qualified applicants. Successful Candidates are admitted into the new session to begin studies, classes and lectures in earnest. The Current admission session is no different.

Screenings for candidates who chose the university as first choice in the unified tertiary matriculation examinations(UTME) and scored 180 and above in the said exams was announced and conducted by the school’s management and admissions Unit.

Candidates are required to possess results, in not more than two sittings, showing five(5) passes(in relevant subjects) in O’level exams. Direct entry candidates and candidates who did a  schange of course were also eligible.

How To Check Taraba State University Admission List

 An admission list is any list that holds the names of candidates and applicants, granted admission into an institution. The lists are usually released in batches i.e, first batch, second batch, third batch and so on.

This is to bring to the notice of the general public that the admission list has been released for the 2018/2019 academic session by the admissions unit and management of Taraba state university, Jalingo  for UTME and direct entry candidates and is made available online.

Currently, two batches of lists has been released, 1st and 2nd batch. Applicants who were a part of the school’s Post UTME Screening exercise should check their admission standings online. Candidates Should Be Reminded That They Are To 

  • Logon to JAMB’s website and accept or reject their admission on the portal at www.jamb.org.ng.  Check your admission status on the CAPS tab.
  •  Re check at regular intervals for updates (for candidates whose status show “not admitted” on the JAMB portal)
  • Re check the school’s website for regular updates too. The admission lists are released in batches on the university’s website.
  • Begin with acceptance and registration processes, for those who where successful.
  • Fill in their details properly and correctly to avoid error during registration and payments.

Endeavour to verify properly your O’level results from the examination governing councils and ruling bodies before processing your admission.
