How To Enroll On The Covenant University E-learning And All You Need To Know
Distance Learning, otherwise known as e-Learning, has a lot of benefits– such as meeting the education needs of the teeming population of qualified students who were unable gain admission to tertiary institution; some of these are students who could not afford the normal cost of tertiary education in Nigeria and so need to work and learn simultaneously.

At Covenant University (CU), the e-learning programmes is referred to as Open Distance Learning (ODL)/
Below are detailed steps on how you can enroll for the ODL, and other vital information you need to know.
General Requirement
Four credits in WASSCE or NECO-SSCE (including English Language); knowledge of ICT usage and relevant work experience are the basic requirements for admission into ODL programmes.

Applicants will have to complete the application forms online at www.odl.covenantuniversity.edu.ng
How To Apply
- Create an account once the website above is open
- Fill in your personal details, academic interest and educational history, and referee information.
- Make your payment
- Upload your passport, and print out your slip.
- You will be notified for screening when it is time.
Payment Method
You can make your payment either via:
- WEB PAY: Use your Verve, Master Card
Or
- CUePay (Pay@Bank): Pay to any of the designated banks and obtain a Receipt Number and PIN Number.
The cost of form for those paying online (via ATM) is N6,900 and the cost is N6, 600 for those paying through banks.

Screening Processes
Online screening of ICT usage ability is mandatory. Skype and Google video are likely be used for this purpose.
Lecture Mode
Lecture is 96% online. It involves use of Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), email exchanges, discussion/chat forum; Hangouts; Video uploads etc. However, there may be need to annually converge for few weeks at designated study/examination centres for live contacts. The Living Faith Church network of schools may be used for this purpose.

Technical Requirements
To have a successful e-learning on Covenant University`s Open Distance Learning Programme, students are requires to have private broadband internet access. Students will need internet access regularly. Students must login to their online learning portal on a regular basis to receive work for the following week, contribute to discussion forums and interact with peers and instructors.
Whilst each subject requires at least 10 hours per week of study, an internet connection is not required for the full 10 hours as many written texts are available to download and read offline.
It is recommended that students use Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to access http://odl.covenantuniversity.edu.ng regularly.
