Alex Iwobi Signs New Arsenal Deal Worth £30,000 Weekly
Alex Iwobi has penned a bumper new long-term Arsenal deal keeping him at the club until 2021.
The North London side have handed the exciting teenage forward a five-year contract in the region of £30,000 a week through the five years period subject to review.
The Nigerian starlet only signed his previous deal, understood to be worth up to £10,000 a week, last October. That agreement was due to run until 2019 before this new deal came on board which will see keep him at the club until the summer of 2021. Alex Iwobi has made big strides since then and boss Arsene Wenger was keen to reward the 19 year-old academy product with improved terms as a reward of his outstanding performance in the matches he has featured in.
It is evident that if he carries on with his present form, we will definitely have bigger clubs calling for his signature. Iwobi made his first international appearance for Nigeria in the match against Egypt. He came in as an 80th minutes substitute in the match that ended 1-1 in Kaduna One of Nigeria Cities. Alex is definitely a star for the future and will not hang around that 30k pounds a week wage for a very long time. Don’t forget he his also Austin JJ Okocha Nephew, one of Nigeria Football Legend. Football definitely runs in that family.
Arsenal Footbal Academy
The young Nigeria joined Arsenal Academy when he was 9 years old. Alex is a young Lad with promising future as he has obviously displayed that with the little opportunity given. By his standard, i can argue that not many English young stars within his age bracket has put up the same level of brilliance this season, accept for a certain Man United Kid, Rashford whom has equally had breath taken performances in his previous games.
Arsenal Academy has indeed produced a gem in Alex Imobi
Good luck Alex.
