The Kwara State Polytechnic is one of the Nigerian state government owned tertiary institution founded in 1973. It is situated in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The institution offers both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma.
The Kwara State Polytechnic offers more than 60 courses in all at both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels with 29 of them accredited early this year. The polytechnic promise to begin e-learning soon where people can apply and receive lectures online.
Admission Requirement For ND Ans HND Candidates
Seeking admission into the Kwara State Polytechnic? For National Diploma, you must have the following requirements:
- Minimum of five O/L Credits in relevant subjects at SSCE, NECO, GCE, and NABTEB. This should not exceed two sittings.
- Three other credit passes must be relevant to the intended course of study.
- Credit Passes in both Mathematics and English Language are mandatory.
For Higher National Diploma, you must possess the following:
- National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field to the intended course of study. Those with pass grade must have two years of Post-National Diploma industrial experience.
- Five relevant O/L credit passes at WASC, NECO, GCE and NABTEB not exceeding two sittings which must include English Language and Mathematics.
- Evidence of one year post-ND Cognate experience. That is, Industrial Training.

How To Register Courses
You can register your courses online via the institution’s website. It is advisable to get a well detailed information about courses to register before going online to register.
- Log on to the students portal on the institution website. Log in with your Student ID and your matriculation number as your Password. You may change your password if you wish.
- Navigate and click on “My Data” at the top of your page.
- Select “Course of Study” from the drill down menu
- Next is to click on “Start New Session”
- Next is to input the activation code in the space provided. This can be found on your school fee payment slip. It should look like this “SFE-0-0000000000”
- Next step is to click on “Add Course List”
- This will be followed by a click on “Create Course List” which should bring all the courses you are expected to register at your level.
- Carefully add up the courses
- You may now download your course registration slip by clicking on the study level created.
- Lastly, endeavour to print and submit the course registration slip at your Department.
How To Check Results Online
To view your results online as a student, kindly follow the steps below:
- Log on to the students portal on the institution website. Log in with your Student ID and your matriculation number as your Password.
- Navigate and click on “My Data” at the top of your page.
- Select “Course of Study” from the drill down menu
- Next is to click on “Check Results”
- Next select the session you want to view the results. You can then view your results.
