Sokoto State University: How To Register Courses, Check Result And Pay School Fees Online

Sokoto State University (SSU) is a state owned tertiary institution located in Sokoto State in Northern Nigeria. The university was established in 2009 due to the need of a state owned university in addition to the Usman Dan Fodio University which was a federal operated institution. The university aims at satisfying the quest of the people of Sokoto state and Northern Nigeria in general who are in need of education centered on excellence. The institution currently operates four faculties which are the faculty of Arts, Education, Sciences and Social Sciences.

 

The SSU Students Portal

Sokoto State University Operates a student’s portal where students of the university can easily get access to facilities available in the institution directly from their internet enabled mobile device and computer by simply login to their personal student portal with their students ID and password.  Students of SSU can now register courses, check semester results and pay fees easily and also get informed on the latest happenings on campus.

How To Register Online

Students can perform their registration online by

 

For Fresh students

1. Visit the online screening portal at screening.ssu.edu.ng
2. Login with your UTME registration number as your Username/ID and enter your password then click on login
3. Check your admission status to check if you have been admitted. If successful visit the university campus with your credentials (Jamb, WAEC/NECO, for verification)
4. After verification a confirmation letter will be given to you where you will be required to visit the website again.
5. Login to the online portal at ssu.edu.ng
6. Use your admission number as your username and password and hit the login button
7. Click on the “generate invoice” tab to get a customized payment invoice with a Remita Reference Retrieval (RRR) number.
8. Print the invoice and visit any bank branch or click on the “pay now” tab to pay using any of the payment option available.
9. After completing payments, login to the portal again and click on online registration to complete your course registration according to your department.
10. Once complete print copies of your course registration, payment slips, medical form and form 02 and visit the admissions office for signing and distribution.

 

For returning students

1. Visit the online portal at ssu.edu.ng and click on online registration
2. Use your admission number as your username and password and hit the login button
3. Click on the “generate invoice” tab to get a customized payment invoice with a Remita Reference Retrieval (RRR) number.
4. Print the invoice and visit any bank branch or click on the “pay now” tab to pay using any of the payment option available.

How To Check Results

Students of Sokoto State University can check semester results directly from the portal at the end of the semester once they are available. To check results online, simply

1. Login to the students portal at ssu.edu.ng
2. Enter your login details
3. Click on view results
4. Click on the semester you wish to check too access the results

Results are also pasted on the notice boards in each faculty once they are available.
