How To Enroll For Kaduna State Scholarship And All You Need To Know

Today, we want to use this opportunity to inform the general public especially eligible candidates that the Kaduna State Local Scholarships for the current academic session is on.

The scholarship schemes has five different categories for applicants who wish to apply, here they are:

  • Merit Scholarship (for candidates that have CGPA of 3.5 and above)
  • Need Base Scholarship (for candidates from indigent families)
  • School Based Individual Scholarship (for candidates studying Health related courses like MBBS, Pharmacy, Nursing etc.)
  • Athletic Scholarship (for candidates taking parts in Sports for the State)
  • Disability Scholarship (for candidates living with Special Needs)

Please note:

  • The disability scholarship scheme is mainly for physically challenged applicants and while Athletic scholarship scheme is for athletes who must have represented Kaduna State at National Sports Festival and have won medal(s)
  • All applicants for merit scholarship must be in their second year and above, and should have obtained a CGPA of 3.5; and also applicants for Need Based scholarship scheme must come from indigent (Less privilege) families.
  • All applicants for school based individual scholarship should be studying Health related courses in the University or Health oriented institution of higher learning.

The Requirements For Kaduna State Scholarship

  • All the applicants for postgraduate studies must have a minimum of first degree with second class honours Upper Division.
  • All the applicants must be registered full – time students of any recognized and accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Every other applicants doing their Undergraduates, Higher National Diploma, National Diploma and Nigeria Certificate in Education must be a registered full-time students of any recognized and accredited institution of higher learning in Nigeria.

 How To Enroll For Kaduna State Scholarship

All application forms should be completed online as follows:

  • All the applicants for Need Based Scholarship Scheme should go to and complete application form No. 1 only.
  • All the applicants for Merit Scholarship Scheme should go to and complete form No.2 only.
  • All the applicants for School Based individual scholarship scheme should go to and complete form No.3 only.
  • All the applicants for Disability Scholarship Scheme should go to and complete form No.4 only.
  • All the applicants for Athletic Scholarship Scheme should go to and complete form No. 5 only.

Please all candidates are advised to make only one entry as multiple entries will be disqualified. And also, after completing the form online, the printed copy should be submitted to the scholarship Board with the following documents attached:

  • Your admission Letter
  • All your academic Certificates
  • Your Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
  • A letter of indigenization or a Citizenship
  • Provide 2 passports with your name written at the back and signed by you
  • A current student’s Payment Slip

  • For Maigana (Soba, Lere, Kauru, Kubau, Ikara)
    the date: from 3rd – 14th June, 2019.

  • For Kachia (Kachia, Kagarko, Z/Kataf)
