Adeleke University, Ede stylized ‘AU’ is a private higher institution, established by Dr Adedeji Adeleke, in 2011. It is an institution based on the Seventh-day Adventist Philosophy of Education. It is the world’s largest Christian school system. Its main aim is to imbibe in its students the pursuit of utmost truth, transmission of knowledge and a real dedication to the service of God.

Admission Requirements

Even though there are specific admission requirements that are based on faculties or choice of course, there are general requirements set by the institution for prospective candidates in different levels.

AU Admission Requirements For Undergraduates

Pre-degree (JUPEB):

Every Prospective students are required to have their O’Level results (WASC/NECO/NABTEB).

In addition, You must obtain the application form and sit for the entrance examination organized by Adeleke University.

 

 

100 Level Entry Students

Every candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE O’LEVEL/NECO/NABTEB or equivalents in subjects related to the proposed field of study (maximum of 2 sittings only). These 5 credits must include Mathematics, English and 3 other related subjects.

Furthermore, every prospective candidate must register, sit for and attain the prescribed score in the UTME, and also prepare for a screening process organized by the school.

 

 

200 Level (Direct-entry) Students

Applicants must possess a National Diploma,  from a recognized institution in Nigeria.

Every Candidate must have a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in a subject(s) relevant to their proposed choice of study having a minimum of one unit and two (2) advanced level passes.

Candidates must also register with JAMB for Direct-entry registration.

 

 

Admission Requirements For Postgraduates (PG)

Only postgraduate programmes in the faculties of Art, Science, and Business and Social Sciences are available. The PG programmes available are, Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters degree and Doctor of Philosophy. Even though admission requirements vary across these levels, the general requirements for prospective applicants are:

• Bachelor’s degree/ HND certificate from Adeleke University. Degrees and certificates from other institutions must be recognized by the University’s Senate.
• Masters degree certificate for applicants that wish to pursue M.Phil or PhD.
• NYSC Discharge/Exemption certificate.
• Marriage certificate or proof of a change of name (if applicable).
• Other certificate or document(s) related to the mode of application.
• Academic transcript(s).
• Reference letters from previous University lecturers.

 

Remember that the College or department, may also require additional conditions like an oral interview, or entrance examination.
