Kenyatta University: How To Register Courses, Pay School Fees And Check Results Online

Kenyatta University is a public educational institution located in Nairobi Kenya. It became a fully functional university in 1985 and is one of the top educational research institutions amongst the 23 public universities in Kenya. The institution has 12 campuses scattered around major towns in Kenya with the main campus at Kahawa, in Nairobi Kenya.

The school operates programmes which include the bachelor degree, masters’ degree, post graduate diploma and doctorate degree programmes. Kenyatta University is fully accredited by both the local and international bodies responsible for accrediting academic programs in Kenya and Africa in general. The school maintains 17 schools responsible for meeting the academic needs of over 71000 students, with an academic and non academic staff base of over 5000.

 

How To Register Courses/Units Online

Students can register semester courses online after paying fees to a designated Kenyatta university account by simply

  1. Go to https://portal.ku.ac.ke in your browser
  2. Click on student portal link in the homepage
  3. Enter your Login details i.e. your username and password in lowercases (small letters).
  4. Click on the login tab
  5. On the display page click on Academics and navigate to online registration and begin the online registration process.
  6. Use the quick add functionality to search for courses to be registered.
  7. Enter the course code to be registered and click on add.
  8. After adding the course, verify courses and click on register to proceed to the final step.
  9. Once registration is complete the screen then displays the list of registered courses for final confirmation.
  10. Ensure you print out the slip as evidence of course registration and keep it safe.

How To Pay School Fees

Kenyatta university school fees can be paid by making the necessary payment into a recognised bank account number operated by the university.

How To Check Results Online

Students can check semester results online at the end of each semester once they have been approved by the school academic board. Results are placed on the departments’ notice board once they are available.

To check results online students are to

  1. Login to the Student Portal at to https://portal.ku.ac.ke
  2. Click on student portal link in the homepage
  3. Enter your Login details i.e. your username and password in lowercases (small letters).
  4. Click on the login tab
  5. On the display page click on Check Results
  6. Navigate to college or department and Click on the semester you wish to check
  7. Results can be printed once you have accessed results in the student portal.

Note:

The Academic board holds the right to seize the results of students who are defaulting in their fees or are been investigated for disciplinary related offences by the schools disciplinary board.
