Mavins record’s golden boy korede bello is one of Nigeria’s youngest musicians. The ‘Godwin’crooner was born on 29th of February,1996. Korede is known for his unique melody and style as this has been the case even before the pop star switched from his previous stage name ‘African Prince’. He had both his primary and secondary education in Lagos. Back in primary school, korede was part of a musical group and he was largely involved in music related events and occassions in school.
As time went on, korede started recording songs professionally in secondary school as he released his debut single ‘Forever’. Wondering how a secondary school boy could afford studio fees? Well korede says his parents supported him both financially and morally and he attributes this support as being the basis of his success till date.
Korede was able to balance music and education as he stayed up all night making good music while he focused more on his education during day time. His rise to stardom started after he released his first single ‘forever’ as his manager at that time ‘Casmir Uwaegbute’ linked korede up with Don Jazzy. Jazzy fell in love with Korede’s style of music and they got into the studio and began recording immediately. This was the beginning of korede’s mavin journey.
