The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service is a corporation established to place students who are sponsored by the government into colleges and universities across the country. There are 523 Degree Programmes, 65 Universities, 185 Diploma Programmes and 67 Colleges currently registered for the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service. They are also saddled with the responsibility of collation of data on placement of students into universities and colleges, advising the government on placements and development of career guidance programmes.
Eligibility And Requirements
University are required to have been registered by the Commission for University Education (CUE) while Colleges must have been registered by by Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). Institutions who meet the above requirement with good academic programmes maybe allowed for registration.
For students to be eligible for the placement, such student must be a valid Kenyan citizen. The student must possess the minimum admission requirements of C+ for university admission and C- for diploma admission. Students who meet up the requirements are eligible for placement. They are also to pay application fee of Ksh 500 and if they are applying through school, it will be Ksh 1000. For first revision students, application fee is Ksh 1500.

How To Register Courses Online
Any students who meets the requirements may follow the steps below;
- Log on to http://students.kuccps.net/
- Login with your details, full index number as your username, the year and password as your birth certificate number.
- It will take you to a page having two tables. One is for biodata which you are required to fill.
- In the second table, take note of the cluster point
- Identify your course grouping and check out for similar courses across diploma and degree.
- Select the course and check out for its code.
- Repeat the steps for other course applications.

How To Check Results Online
You can check your placement online without much trouble by following the steps below;
- Log on to http://students.kuccps.net/
- Login with your details, full index number as your username, the year and password as your birth certificate number.
- After logging in, you will see a congratulatory message if you have been placed. The message will indicate your institution placement with the course.
How To Pay School Fees
After placement and you have been able to confirm your university or college placement with the course given, the next thing will be to enroll and make school fees payment. The amount varies as the institution varies. For instance, a state sponsored student may pay up to Sh 18,000 per semester in a public university while in a private university, it may be around Sh 80,000 per semester. You may then followed appropriate payment method for the school.
