Tonto Dike is a top Nigerian actress, philanthropist and singer who got to lamplight after emerging as the first runner up of the reality show called “The Next Movie Star” back in 2006. Movie producers and directors started featuring her in more movie productions after her second movie which was titled “Holy Cross”.

Tonto Dike is well known in various Nigerian movies, especially the movie called “Dirty Secret” which brought on a lot of controversy. This was because the movie had lots of adult scenes which was as at then foreign to Nollywood industry.

 

 

Her Personal Life

Tonto Dike was born on the 19^th of June 1985 in Port Harcourt. Tonto is of the Ikwerre descent in the Obio-Akpor local government of Rivers state, Nigeria. She was born into a family of seven and she is the third out of five children who was raised by her stepmother after losing her biological mother at the age of three.

Tonto Dike had her university education at Rivers State University of Science and Technology where studied petrochemical Engineering.

About Tonto Dike Wedding And Husband

In 2015, Tonto Dike got married to Mr Olakunle Oladunni Churchill, a Lagos business man and the nephew to the Nigerian former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Mr Olakunle Oladunni Churchill owns few large companies which are big church Entertainment, Big Churchill Haven limited etc. Mr Churchill was once married and was separated before he got married to Tonto Dike.

 

Tonto Dike’s Relationship With Olakunle Churchill

The relationship between Olakunle Churchill and Tonto Dike blossomed very fast when they first met in a night club in Lagos. Because they were very much in love with each other, they had a very quick relationship that lead them to marry. Their traditional marriage was so beautiful and much celebrated and their union only lasted for less than a year and before their separation, Tonto Dike was already pregnant for her husband, Mr Olakunle Churchill.

Tonto Dike gave birth to a baby boy in February 2016 which was named King Andre Omodayo Igo Churchill. But unfortunately, the arrival of the handsome little boy could not solve the strain in the relationship of the parents.

When the report about their marriage separation appeared in the media, both of them quickly confirmed that they had really separated, with each of them explaining different versions of what lead to the separation.

According to what Tonto Dike explained to the media, she revealed that her husband, Mr Olakunle Churchill was physically abusing her and had cheated on her more than once. She also said that her husband always beat her up violently which once lead to a miscarriage.

Tonto Dike also said that her husband, Mr Olakunle Churchill only loved and married her just because of her money and not because of her personality.

On the other hand, her husband, Mr Olakunle Churchill denied all the claims by Tonto Dike, saying that she was the one threatening to kill him and that she lied about the miscarriage.

Both Tonto Dike and her ex-husband, Mr Olakunle Churchill have both gone their separate ways ever since and irrespective of their beef, both of them have moved on to focus on their individual  careers.
