USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) is a communication technology for Global System for Mobile(GSM) which enables a user to send text between a mobile phone and an application program in the network. These applications includes mobile chatting and  prepaid roaming.

For Zenith Bank, the USSD feature, known as EazyBanking  brings banking services to your living room. *966# EazyBanking from Zenith Bank is a convenient, fast, secure, and affordable way to make any transactions and access your account with Zenith Bank, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using your mobile phone without internet data.

 

Eligibility

This service is available to all individual account holders with any phone which runs on the GSM platform. There is so much you can do with a few steps and the correct code. The application is absolutely free, provided you have airtime. Data connection is not needed.

Opening An Account

Just dial *966*0# from your phone and follow the onscreen instructions. Your account number will be automatically generated and sent to you through an SMS. Account opening forms are NOT necessary for the signup process. Once you sign up, look for your ten-digit account number (NUBAN).

Checking Your Account Balance

To know your balance on any of your accounts,  simply dial; *966*00# from your mobile phone and follow the instructions given.

Airtime

Simply dial *966*Amount*Mobile Number# on your phone (e.g. *966*1000*08037652787#).

Transfer Funds With Convenience

Dial *966*Amount*Account Number# (e.g. *966*1000*1234567890#) from a registered phone number, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Pay Your Gotv, DStv, PHCN And Other Zenith Billers Conveniently

For DStv, Gotv and PHCN bills, dial; *966*7*Amount*Customer ID# on your mobile phone and follow the instructions.

For other Zenith Billers, just dial; *966*6*Biller code*Amount# from your mobile phone and follow the instructions.

Update Your BVN

Just dial *966*BVN# to update your Bank Verification Number (BVN) with the number associated with your Zenith Bank account.

RESET your Mobile banking/USSD Password and PIN.

To reset,  simply dial; *966*60# from your mobile phone and follow the instructions.

Deactivate your Mobile Banking Profile.

Dial; *966*20*0# from your mobile phone and follow the instructions you see.

To protect your code and Deactivate Your Account.

To stop all debit transactions from your account in case of a fraud or loss of debit card, just dial; *966*911# from any mobile phone. Enter your account number then enter your AlertZ mobile number. Press “1” to continue and immediately block your account. To unblock,  visit the nearest Zenith Bank branch.

How To Register For EazyBanking

• Dial *966*00# with your number
• You will be instructed to enter the last 4 digits of your Debit (ATM) card number.
• The next page displays your Account Name and you will be required to create a 4 digit PIN
• Confirm your 4 digit PIN
• If successful, an SMS with the balances on all your accounts will be sent to

You can register using a MasterCard or Visa debit card.

Note

Cumulative transfer limit is N100,000 (One hundred thousand Naira) daily while

Cumulative transaction limit on Airtime  is N3,000.00 (Three thousand Naira) daily.
