Kaduna State University: How To Enroll And Check Result On The Portal

Kaduna State University is a state government owned and funded university in Nigeria. It was established in 2004 with two campuses in Kafanchan and Kaduna. The university was established under a state government law after seeing a need to increase the level of education in both the Northern and Southern part of the state. It is situated in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

 

The university has 7 faculties which include Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of science, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Art, Faculty of Social and Management science, Faculty of Environmental Sciences and   Faculty of pharmaceutical science. The institution has  about 29 departments and offers about 40 courses.

 

The university also has a College of Basic and Remedial Studies through which it offers pre- degree programme for students with low UTME score.  The university also offers a separate Arabic-French Preliminary Studies Programme in addition to her academic programmes.

 

The school has a School of Postgraduate Studies through which it offers postgraduate diploma and masters only. The postgraduate school has just 3 Faculties which include Faculty of Science, Faculty of Art and Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.

Admission Requirements

For undergraduate courses, applicants must possess the following requirements:

1. A five credit o level requirement in either of NECO or WAEC examinations. It should not be more than two sittings and the credit passes must be in English language and other relevant subjects related the intending course of study.
2. A good UTME written examination score.

This requirements are accepted for Arabic-French Preliminary Studies Programme as well.

 

For Remedial applicants, please find below basic requirements:

1. A three credit passes in either NECO or WAEC which must not exceed one sitting. For science students the credit passes could be in any of these subjects English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Geography while that of humanities could be in any of these subjects English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, Economics, Government and History.

 

 

How To Enroll For Admission

Students who wishes to study at the Kaduna State University must go through the following processes:

1. Write and pass NECO or WAEC examinations based on school requirements.
2. Write and pass UTME based on the school cut off for Post UTME. Please note that you must have chosen Kaduna State University as one of your choice university or simply obtain a change of institution form at the UTME office to be able to participate in her post UTME.
3. Register for post UTME on the school portal after purchasing a PIN at the designated banks. You will be required to fill a form online and upload your passport photograph. You’re required to print a slip as well which will be used to enter the post UTME examination hall.

If you pass the post UTME and meet up the course requirements, you will be offered admission. Be on the look out for the admission list.
