Mercy Johnson, a versatile Nigerian actress was born on the 28th August, 1984 in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. She was born to fomer Naval officer, Daniel Johnson and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson. She hails from Okene in Kogi State of Nigeria. The Nigerian born actress is the fourth of the seven children in the family.

Mercy Johnson started her primary education in Calabar and continued in Lagos when her father was transferred to Lagos. In Lagos, she attended Nigerian Navy Primary School. She further her education at the Rivers State Secondary School in addition to the Nigerian Navy Secondary School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Mercy met her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie for the very first time in 2008 on a flight from France. They had both flown Business class. Prince Odianosen Okojie asked for her contact which she declined. It all started when later got her number. How he got the number remains untold.

The actress later got married to Prince Odianosen Okojie at Christ Embassy Church, Oregun, Ikeja Lagos on a wonderful Saturday in the month of August, on the 27th day, in 2011 and their marriage is blessed with three children.
