How To Apply On Limkokwing University, Requirements And Fees For Courses

The LimKokWing University is an international private university that started as the LimKokWing Institute of Creative Technology in Malaysia in the year 1991. The school gained its university college status due to strategic links with reputable and well recognized universities and colleges in UK, Australia, USA, New Zealand and Canada. The LimKokWing propelled towards establishments throughout three continents in the world, which are Asia, Africa and Europe.

However, with global presence in 3 continents, the university has over 30,000 students coming from more than 150 countries. The Cyberjaya campus happens to be the winner of the Highest Enrolment of Foreign Students Award and Special Award for Globalizing the Malaysian Education from the Malaysian Ministry of Education and the Export Excellence Award from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

The Admission Requirements

For Bachelor Programs

  • Candidates will need high school, secondary school or A-Level with minimum CGPA of 2 out of 4  or Pass
  • For candidates who want to apply for engineering program must pass mathematics, physics, and chemistry during high school.

For Master Programs 

  • You need a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 or equivalent, in a related field 
  • You need a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2 to 2.5 out of 4, in a related field, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in relevant field 

PLEASE NOTE: Only for the master of accounting they required Minimum CGPA 2.75 out of 4.

For Ph.D. Programs

  • You need a Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 or equivalent, in a related field 
  • You need a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2 to 2.5 out of 4, in a related field, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in relevant field

English Language requirement for admission in LIMKOKWING University: 

Also note that all international students who are going to apply for LIMKOKWING University are required to have Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) or the test administered by the International English Language Testing System (IELTS.

How To Apply

For International Student

To complete the application:

  • You need to read the applicable Terms & Conditions before completing the form
  • Ensure you complete the form in BLOCK letters
  • The registration fee of RM 1,000. All cheques or bank drafts should be made payable to LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY OF CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL SDN.
  • For student Visa Application Fee (EMGS):
  • For general – RM 2,139 (1 Year)
  • For Indonesian – RM 2,728 (2 Years)
  • Provide certified copies of Academic Results relevant to entry requirements
  • Provide Proof of English Language Proficiency e.g IELTS or TOEFL, if applicable
  • Provide 1 passport sized photograph with white background (35mm x 45mm)
  • Provide 1 passport copy, including all pages, colored and properly scanned
  • Provide a Copy of curriculum vitae is required for students above 25 years old
  • And also, as required by the Malaysian government, international students need to undergo one set of health examination/medical check-up
  • A second health examination, all International students need to undergo a second medical check-up within seven (7) days of arrival in Malaysia

The Processing Of Your Application

Processing Information for International Applicants

  • Note that an acceptance letter will be sent out to successful applicants.
  • Also note that the University will submits an application to the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) for processing of the student’s visa (6-8 weeks).
  • An e-VAl can be downloaded by student in EMGS website once it is APPROVED
  • All students are required to complete the rest of the application procedure
  • Note that health screening will also be available for international students within 7 working days upon arrival in Malaysia.
