The Abia state university also known as ABSU was founded in 1981 and known as the former Imo State university until 1991 when Abia state was created and the Uturu campus of the then Imo State university became Abia state university. The university has its main campus in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine has a different campus in Umuahia, the State capital.

 

The institution offers academic programmes in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The university is open to all prospective students who have a good score in their UTME with at least five o level credit passes in not more than two sittings. Once all necessary payments are done, the next thing will be to register the courses for the semester. You may need to visit the department to confirm courses to register online before proceeding to do so. Here are the steps below for the course registration;

2. Navigate and click on the portal to select students
3. From there, navigate and click on course registration
4. On the next page, input your matric number to access the course registration tab
5. Select the session and semester.
6. Select the courses one after the other and verify that they are correct
7. Submit the form and print it the course form for further registration.

To check results online, please follow the steps below;

1. Log on to the institution website http://abiastateuniversity.edu.ng
2. Navigate and click on the portal to select students
3. From there, navigate and click on check semester results
4. On the next page, input your matric number to access the results
5. Select the session and semester you will like to view the results. Click on submit

The next page will be the results page. If the results are not displayed, you may need to check back when it is uploaded.
