Dulux Paint was In the early days of its existence, decorators and their suppliers were the main customers for Dulux, with Say Dulux to your decorator used as an advertising slogan in the 1950s. By the year 1953, Dulux was available in the retail market and ten years later the famous Old English Sheepdog was used in advertisements, to the point where “Dulux Dog” has become a common nickname for the breed of a particular Dog Family.
The name Dulux is derived from the words DuPont and Luxury, which over time has become a house name all over the globe. We are looking at various Products from Dulux Paint And How they can be Applied.

Before surface preparation, read the Health & Safety information about old lead paints. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. Apply 1 coat of the appropriate coloured Dulux Trade Undercoat, followed by 1 or 2 coats of Dulux Trade High Gloss. Allow a minimum of 6 hours for the undercoat to dry before applying the gloss finish. Where a second coat of Dulux Trade High Gloss is required, allow a minimum of 16 hours between coats.
For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient tinted paint for each job including touch-in at one time from the same source. Whilst leading-edge technology has been used in the development of this product, the nature of white solvent-based paints means that they will all discolour over time. The rate of discolouration is faster on areas with no or low natural or UV light. For long-lasting whiteness, we recommend the use of a water-based formulation such as Dulux Trade Quick Dry Gloss. After use, remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning with brush cleaner.

Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint
Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint is an exterior quality emulsion paint based on an all acrylic resin. It contains a fungicide to inhibit mould growth on the paint film and help it stay cleaner for longer. It is particularly suitable for use in changeable weather and is shower resistant in only 30 minutes after application. Suitable for use on most sound, dry exterior masonry and rendering, including concrete, roughcast, pebble-dash and brickwork which is normally suitable for painting, eg rustic or sand-faced bricks. Common or fletton bricks should not be painted (see BRE Information Paper Number IP22/79, Painting of Common Fletton Brickwork). Painting of parapet, free standing and retaining walls below ground level damp-proof course is inadvisable. In these situations, it may be difficult to prevent moisture penetration and consequent failure of the paint coating. Painting this type of wall may also increase the risk of frost damage and spalling of the brickwork or stonework. BBA Certificate Number 97/3383*.
